Uganda cranes forward, Rogers Kasim Mato has joined Brera Strumica in North Macedonia.
Mato joins the North Macedonia top tier from the Turkish second division team, Sanliurfaspor which he recently joined in August 2023 from Uganda premier league side, KCCA fc.
The Proline graduate managed to play only 6 games in the six months he spent at the Turkish side, one match in Turkish cup and five matches in the second tier league.
He joins a list of other Ugandans who play in North Macedonia, Halid Lwaliwa playing in FK Bregalnica Stip and Shafic Kagimu playing in FK Robotnicki.
Mato has featured for Lweza junior team, Maroons fc junior team and Proline FC junior from which he joined KCCA fc in 2021/22 season.
He has been capped for Uganda cranes scoring an important goal in Dar-es-Salaam against Tanzania in the AFCON 2023 qualifers and in the 2026 world cup qualifiers against Somalia in Morocco.
Mato finds his new team in the 8th position in a league of 12 teams with 20 points in 18 games.
