Former Tooro United Football Club and Sand Cranes skipper Meddie Kibirige has finally left the soccer jaguars for SC Villa.
Reports indicate that Kibirige has signed a two-year contract with the Nsambya based club and is just waiting for the club’s official unveiling.
Kibirige leaves Tooro United who finished the 2019/2020 UPL season in 15th position and were relegated to after 25 games when the league was prematurely ended.
He is expected to fill the void left by Samson Kiirya who left Villa for Wakiso Giants FC after spending most his time last season as to Saidi Keni’s understudy since recovering from a long term knee injury.
At Tooro United Meddie Kibirige was a mainstay in the starting team and put up brilliant displays last season despite failing to keep his team in the top flight. However, he is expected to battle with Saidi Keni for a position in Edward Kaziba’s starting lineup.
SC Villa has also captured the services of midfielder Geoffrey Oyirwoth Goffin a student at Buddo SS who was released by George Ssimwogerere from Express FC in 2019.
Oyirwoth has is believed to have penned down a two-year working contract at SC Villa.
