BUL FC and SC Villa will put their unbeaten records on the line when they meet in a top-of-the-table Uganda Premier League clash at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru on Tuesday.

With just one point separating the sides, the encounter presents BUL with a chance to climb to the top of the standings, while Villa will be looking to protect their lead and maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

BUL head into the Matchday 10 fixture second with 20 points from eight matches, having won six and drawn two. Villa lead the standings on 21 points from nine games, with six victories and three draws.

BUL coach Alex Isabirye is confident his side can take all three points but expects a difficult afternoon against a Villa team he regards as one of the most organised in the league.

“SC Villa is one of the most organised teams in the league. They have conceded fewer goals, but we have prepared the team well and I believe we will win the game, though it is going to be a tough game,” Isabirye said.

The Eastern Giants coach also confirmed that he has a full squad to choose from, with no injuries or suspensions. He hinted at making a few changes to the starting team that drew with Entebbe UPPC in their previous outing.

Meanwhile SC Villa will be without midfielder Aslam Semakula, who is suspended for the encounter after accumulating yellow cards.

Head coach Zeljko Kovacevic confirmed that Semakula is the only player unavailable, with the rest of the squad fit and available for selection.

Kovacevic expects a tough contest against BUL, pointing out that the Eastern Giants were the only side Villa failed to collect points against last season. He also singled out goalkeeper Jeans Wokorach and defender Cyrus Kibande, who previously featured for the Jogoos.

The historical record between the two sides favours BUL, who have won 11 of their 24 Uganda Premier League meetings. Villa have recorded five victories, while eight matches have ended in draws.

BUL won the most recent meeting at the FUFA Technical Centre, claiming a 2-1 victory in January 2026, before the return fixture at Wankulukuku ended goalless in May.

Tuesday’s meeting carries significant importance for both sides. A victory would take BUL to 23 points and move them above Villa, while the visitors will be determined to maintain their advantage at the summit.
