Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) have signed former KCCA FC attacker Alex Yiga on a two-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season.
The move was confirmed by URA FC on Wednesday, September 23, after Yiga completed his transfer from KCCA FC on the final day of the transfer window.
The 21-year-old winger joins Head Coach Jimmy Kintu Mwera’s squad as the Tax Collectors continue to strengthen their options ahead of the new campaign.
“Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) is delighted to announce the signing of talented winger Alex Yiga on a two-year contract following his departure from KCCA FC,” the club said in a statement.
Yiga is capable of playing on either wing and can also operate in more advanced central positions. He is known for his pace, dribbling and ability to use both feet.
A product of the KCCA FC Soccer Academy, Yiga progressed into the club’s senior team ahead of the 2023/24 season.
He first attracted wider attention during KCCA Junior Team’s run to the 2022 Cambiasso International Tournament title in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He later represented Uganda at the 2022 CECAFA U-17 Championship in Ethiopia, where the Uganda Cubs finished with a bronze medal.
Yiga featured 16 times for KCCA FC in the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League season. He also scored against Onduparaka in the Uganda Cup.
His arrival gives URA another attacking option as the club prepares for the 2026/27 campaign.
The transfer also marks the latest step in Yiga’s progression from the KCCA academy to another Uganda Premier League side, where he will now work under Kintu as URA build their squad for the new season.
