FWSL: Repeat of the 2018/19 final after UCU Lady Cardinals defeats Uganda Martyrs

It will be the repeat of the 2018/19 final as UCU Lady Cardinals takes on Lady Doves at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Wednesday.

This is after UCU Lady Cardinals defeated Uganda Martyrs 1-0 in the second semi-final match of the 2021 FUFA Women Super league played on Monday.

Nabaggala Jauharah’s strike early in the first half was enough for the UCU to seal a place in a final at the expense of Uganda Martyrs.

Nabaggala scored on a rebound after Daphine Nyayenga had initially saved Cissy Nakate’s effort in the 14th minute.

In the early kickoff semi-final, Lady Doves eliminated Record Champions  Kawempe Muslim courtesy of Riticia Nabbosa’s strike at the stroke of halftime.

When the two met in the 2018/19 final, UCU secured a 2-0 victory thanks to Moureen Kinavudori and Hasifa Nassuna goals.

This will be the second meeting between the two sides in the current campaign after Lady Doves, inspired by Fazila Ikwaput rallied from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over the Cardinals.
