CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers: Queens to kickstart their campaign on Saturday


After intense training sessions at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, Uganda’s representatives Kampala Queens FC are extremely ready to kickstart the CECAFA region qualifiers for the CAF Women Champions League.

The Ugandan Queens will start their qualifying Campaign on Saturday evening against South Sudan’s Yei Joint Stars at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

Kampala Queens who hold the host status will hope to start well by collecting all the three points inorder to top their group.

Apart from Yei Joints stars, the Queen’s will have face competition from Burundi’s Buju Queens FC, Ethiopia’s C.B.E FC and FAD FC from Djibouti.

The FUFA Women Super League champions will be the only team making their debut at this stage.

One the other side, their opponents on the day Yei Joint Stars are familiar with this stage having featured at every edition of this mini tournament since 2021 despite not exceeding the group stages in all editions.

Group A Fixture for Saturday 

Group B action will be kicked-off on Sunday 13th August in Lugogo.
