Rashid Mpata: Former Busoga midfielder joins Jinja side

Midfielder Rashid Mpata has completed his move to Jinja-based Uganda Premier League side Busoga United.

Mpata has put pen to paper on a two-year employment contract that will see him remain at the Jinja club until the end of the 2024/25 season .

Mpata joins Gaddafi FC after having ran down his contract at Busoga United, who were narrowly relegated last season.

Gaddafi, his new side has have lost a couple of players this window including Midfielder Mahad Yaya Kakooza (who was banned by FUFA for five years) and their head coach Wasswa bbosa, who left the club for Mbarara City FC.

Gaddafi FC last season finished the season 11th on the log with 31 points in 28 games.
