Police FC hands Kabuye a professional contract, renews Matovu’s

Police FC this week handed Attacking Midfielder Bashir Kabuye his first professional football contract and extended Mubraka Nsubuga’s stay with the Cops for at least the next two years.

Police FC also ushered in youngster Samson Oloka, a goalie who previously played for Lukaya Town and Northern Elephants. Oloka signed a three-year employment contract with the law enforcers.

SC Villa finally adds Kibirige to their goalkeeping department

SC Villa confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Meddy Kibirige from relegated Tooro United on a two-year contract.

Kibirige will replace the departed Samson Kirya, who was the understudy for Saidi Keni last season.

The Jogoos also signed midfielder Geoffrey Oyirwoth Goffin on a two-year deal. Goffin has been without a club since leaving Express FC in 2019.

KCCA FC unveil Aheebwa, Obuya move collapses

 

KCCA FC on Sunday evening during their ‘KCCA TV’ show on Sanyuka TV unveiled 22-year old forward Brian Aheebwa as their sixth signing.

Aheebwa signed a three-year employment contract with the Kasasiro Boys after leaving Mbarara City FC as a free agent after his contract with the Ankole lions expired at the end of the 2019/20 StarTimes UPL season.

On the other hand, According to Football 256, Pius Obuya contemplated move to KCCA FC has hit a snag after he failed a medical test at the Lugogo based side.

It’s reported that the former Maroons Midfielder has serious shoulder and hip injuries which require serious surgery and would take long for him to recover.

BUL FC confirms Madoi and Mugulusi signing, closes in on Davis and Kirya

Jinja based Uganda Premier league side Bidco Uganda Limited (BUL) FC completed the signing of defender Aggrey Madoi and Midfielder Ibrahim Mugulusi on two-year deals from Wakiso giants and Busoga United respectively.

BUL FC is also on the verge of finalizing the signing of free agents Davis Mutebi and Ambrose Kirya from Police FC and SC Villa respectively.

Kirya was a teammate with Madoi and Mulugusi at JMC Hippos and SC Villa respectively.

The Club also completed the signing of defender Walter Ochora from KCCA FC on a permanent deal. The youngster was on loan at BUL last season will remain at the Jinja based club next season.

Tom Matsiko makes permanent move to Wakiso Giants

Midfielder Tom Matsiko made a permanent move to Wakiso Giants on a 3-year deal after his contract with Vipers SC expired.

Matsiko, who joined Vipers in 2017 was sent out on loan to Wakiso Giants at the beginning of the 2019/20 StarTimes UPL season.

Former Vipers SC and Victoria University defender Murushid Juuko completed a move to the Six-time Uganda Premier League champions Express FC.

The 26-year old signed a one-year contract with the ‘Mukwano gw’abangi’ amidst interest from last season’s champions Vipers SC and KCCA FC. He becomes Express FC’s fourth signing after Godfrey Lwesibawa, Mahad Yaya Kakooza, Charles Busingye and John Byamukama.

Bright Stars confirm Kayongo signing, extends Kaggwa’s stay

Bright Stars this week confirmed the signing of Samuel Ssekamate Kayongo Junior from Zambia’s Red Arrows on a one-year contract.

Kayongo has played in Zambia for the past 3 seasons after leaving KCCA FC in 2017.

On the other hand, the Mwerere based side renewed right-back Andrew Kaggwa’s contract for at least for the next two years. He becomes the second player to renew his contract after Derrick Ngoobi renewed his contract for one season last week.

Lubwama leaves BUL, makes Wakiso Giants move

After playing at BUL FC for the last two seasons, Joshua Lubwama has reportedly joined Wakiso Giants.

The midfielder’s contract with BUL FC expired at the end of June and opted not to renew at the end of the season.

In his farewell message, Lubwama emotionally thanked the BUL FC fans, Players, and coach for the incredible two years at the Jinja based outfit.

Mbarara City FC express interest in Tamale

Reports indicate that the Mbarara City FC is interested in Bright Stars goalkeeper Simon Tamale.

The Kakyeka based side is in the hunt for a good goalie to replace Thomas Ikara and think the 23-year old is a better fit to take up that slot but will face competition from Express FC and Kyetume FC.

Kyetume FC signs Bida and Were

Mukono-based Kyetume FC has continued to tighten its squad ahead of the new season 2020/2021 with the acquisition of Ezra Bida and goalkeeper Derrick Were from Onduparaka FC and Buganda Regional league side Kiyinda Boys FC. Both players signed two-year contract deals with the Slaughterers.

Ezra Bida is set to re-unite with his former coach Charles Livingston Mbabazi who is the current Kyetume FC head coach.

Masaba dumps Onduparaka, moves to deputise Bogere at UPDF FC

Simeon Masaba this week joined Steven Bogere at newly-promoted StarTimes UPL side UPDF FC.

The former URA defender, who joined Onduparaka in 2018 as an assistant to Livingston Mbabazi and spent part of last season as the head coach when his boss (Mbabazi) departed for Wakiso Giants.

But, when Onduparaka confirmed the appointment of Vialli Bainamugisha, Masaba decided to leave the caterpillars to seek greener pastures elsewhere.

He will deputize Steven Bogere at the Army Side and reunites with Gaddafi Gadinho who signed a two-year contract with the Bombo-based side last week.

UPDF FC has also agreed to extend contracts of goalkeeper Douglas Kisembo and Andrew Waiswa and have added a couple of new signings like goalkeeper Tonny Kyamera from Express, Simon Mbaziira from Police fc, Ibrahim Wanannah and James Begisa both from Proline fc, Juma Ssebadduka and John Ssemazzi from Rwanda’s Sun rise and Ronnie Kisekka who has been a free agent.
