Vipers SC were officially crowned champions of the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League season after signing off their remarkable campaign with a 2-0 victory over Express FC.
The Venoms, who had already sealed the title before the final day, completed the season unbeaten to make history as only the second club to achieve the feat in Uganda’s top-flight history after SC Villa in 1982.
Midfielder Karim Watambala gave Vipers the lead from the penalty spot after Yunus Sentamu was fouled inside the area, before Congolese forward Gusto Mulongo added the second following a brilliant assist from captain Milton Karisa.
Vipers finished the season on 67 points, five ahead of rivals KCCA FC, sealing their eighth league crown in dominant fashion.
The latest triumph also strengthens Vipers’ place among Uganda’s football elite. The Venoms are now the third-most successful club in Uganda Premier League history with eight league titles, behind only SC Villa (17) and KCCA FC (13).
The Venoms also defend the trophy they won last season and will represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League next season.
