University of Kisubi and Muni University out, as MUBS and Nkumba set take centre stage to see who tops Group B


After winning their previous game against University of Kisubi, Muni University drag the University of Kisubi to the exit the Pepsi University Football league Group B.

Makerere University Business School (1st) and Nkumba University (2nd) have 12 and 9 points respectively leaving Kisubi and Muni no chance for Survival.

Both having played six games winning one and they are positioned 3rd and 4th of the standings with only three points.

Nkumba University and Makerere University Business School will play out their final game of  Group B on Thursday to see who will top the Log going onto the next stage.

Group A is still tight with Uganda Christian University and Kumi both on ten points while Victoria University who are third on the Log with six points with two games in hand something that still keeps their chance for Qualification alive.

In the same group, IUEA who have one game left look like they are out of odds and will look to prepare for the next edition of the tournament.

Despite the suspension of Makerere University in Group D, Mbarara University of Science and Technology haven’t helped themselves well enough to stay in contention with YMCA and St Lawrence University remaining with a very slim chance.

With Muni University, University of Kisubi and IUEA mathematically out, Mbarara University of Science and Technology Busitema University are the other institutions on the verge of exiting the tournament.
