Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka FC will be deducted two points and two goals at the start of next season by the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel.
This is due to breach of Article 31(10) of the FUFA Competitions Rules during Caterpillars’ home league match with Arua Hill SC on 6th May 2022 at Green Light Stadium in Arua.
Having gone 3-0 down, Onduparaka fans caused protests and disrupted the match for seven minutes which forced the Police to fire teargas and bullets to stop rioting fans.
Onduparaka was earlier cautioned after its fans also caused the stoppage of their game against KCCA last season at Greenlight Stadium. They were slapped with a suspended deduction of one point and one goal should similar incidents happen again and Rashid Okocha was banned for five months for his actions in that game.
But despite that suspended deduction in points and goals, the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel has decided to sanction Onduparaka with a deduction of two points and two goals which shall be implemented upon commencement of the 2022/2023 Uganda Premier league season.
Onduparaka has also been ordered to play their first 5 home games behind closed doors outside the West Nile Province at a neutral stadium cleared by the Club Licensing Committee for use during Uganda Premier league matches.
So Onduparaka will start next season bottom of the log with negative two points and goal difference.
