Former KCCA FC and Kirinya Jinja SS goalkeeper Tom Ikara has completed a move to Police FC on a two-year employment contract.
The player was close to agreeing to join URA FC but the deal fell through at it’s latter stages due to failure to agree on contractual terms.
Before he could sign for the “Law and Order” side, Vipers SC had earlier contacted him but the shot-stopper turned down the offer to complete his move to the Lugogo based side.
Ikara spent last season on loan at Mbarara City FC from KCCA and featured in 20 games, conceding only 17 goals while keeping clean sheets on 10 occasions.

He becomes Police’s fourth signing after midfielder Tony Mawejje, defender Mohamood Hassan and left-back Eric Ssenjobe joined the Abdullah Mubiru’s coached side.
At Police FC, Ikara will compete with Davis Mutebi and Alfred Ginyera for a starting spot on who will be in between the sticks next season.
