FUFA confirms Playoffs dates
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) confirmed dates for the playoffs games for the both FUFA Big league and Regional leagues
In a document signed by the FUFA competitions director Hajjati Aisha Nalule, the Federation confirmed that the FUFA Big League playoffs are planned for dates between the 18th October 2020 and 21st October 2020 while the regional League playoffs will begin on 23rd October and climax on the 6th November 2020.
In the FUFA Big league playoffs, Kitara FC is set to take on Kataka FC while Kiboga Young will battle out with Ndejje University for the ultimate prize of getting promoted to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Express FC swoops up performance analyst
Six-time Uganda Premier league champions Express FC confirmed the appointment of Performance analyst Lewis Ainebyona.
On a Tuesday morning, the Red Eagles confirmed the 25-year old had joined their technical team ahead of the 2020-21 SUPL season.
Ainebyona who is a graduate of Football studies from Solent University, England and joined the technical team that includes Wasswa Bbosa( Head coach), James Odoch (Assistant Coach), Helen Buteme (Strength and conditioning coach), Ayub Balyejusa(trainer), and Daniel Kiwanuka ( Goalkeeping coach).

Joseph Marvin completes Bright Stars move
The 20-year old versatile defender on Wednesday morning put pen to paper on a two-year employment contract with the Mwererwe based side.
He became the club’s latest addition after Jamil Kisitu Nvule, Gabriel Elagu, Emmanuel Loki, Samuel Kayongo Ssekamatte, Benson Wagima, Sadam Masereka, Ibrahim “Ssekedi” Tembo, Simon Peter Ssemayange, Marvin Youngman, Warren Bule, Joseph Jajali among others, all joined the club in the ongoing transfer window.
Mustafa Kizza leaves Uganda for the USA
The youngster was confirmed as a Montreal player on a two-year deal in July 2020 but due to the Coronavirus crisis, he could not travel to Canada to complete his move at that time and was loaned back to KCCA FC.
Kizza is a graduate of the KCCA youth system who got promoted to the senior team in 2017 and In the 2019-20 season, he played 19 games, scoring five goals whilst adding 12 assists as the Kasasiro Boys finished second on the Uganda Premier league log.
He also started nine CAF Champions League games with his club in 2019 and 2020 recording four goals and four assists.
With the Uganda national team, he has scored four goals in 10 games.

CECAFA confirms dates for the U17 and U20 AFCON qualifiers.
The development was confirmed on Thursday evening after an Executive committee meeting that was held in Arusha, Tanzania on Saturday, 10th October 2020 where a decision to go ahead with the under-age AFCON competitions was reached.
The U20 AFCON qualifiers will be staged in Tanzania between 22nd November and 6th December 2020 while the U17 qualifiers will be staged in Rwanda between the 13th December and 28th December 2020.
The Association further noted that 10 nations had already confirmed participation in both qualifier tournaments and will be pooled into two pools.
The confirmed teams included Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, South Sudan, Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Burundi, and Somalia.

Murushid Juuko finally joins Express
Experienced Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko completed a switch to StarTimes UPL side Express FC after being given green light by FIFA to join a club of his choice.
The 26-year old finally put pen to paper on a one-year employment contract with the Red Eagles after officially parting ways with Wydad Casablanca.
Juuko became the 16th signing for the Six-time Uganda Premier league champions in the ongoing transfer window.
Busoga United gets new home ground
Uganda Premier League side Busoga United on Friday afternoon announced Kakindu Stadium as their new home stadium ahead of the upcoming 2020/21 season.
In a press release, the management of the Jinja Based club confirmed the change of their home ground.
“The management of Busoga United FC is delighted to profoundly make this official announcement for change of home stadium from The Mighty Arena-Jinja SSS to Kakindu Stadium for the forthcoming 2020/21 season.” part of the press release read.
Mighty Arena had housed Busoga United (Previously Kirinya Jinja SS) since the start of the 2018-20 season.
Busoga United finished fourth on the log last season with 42 points in 25 games when the league was prematurely canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Jacob Kiplimo wins the World half Marathon
Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo won the 2020 World Half Marathon in Gdynia, Poland.
The teenager finished in a time of 58:49 and set a new Championship record in the progress. The previous record was held by Geoffrey Kamworor who set 59:08 in Coppenhagge in 2014.
Meanwhile, Joshua Cheptegei, who was the race favorite finished in the fourth position while Victor Kiplagat and Stephen Kissa finished 16th and 19th respectively.
FUFA Assembly approves Judicial body
The 96th FUFA Ordinary Assembly that convened at Silver Springs Hotel, Kampala on Saturday evening approved the Judicial bodies that will be in place for the year 2020-21
The approval motion was moved by Eastern region delegate Amin Bbosa and seconded by Buganda’s Steven Ssemutono and Joseph Mwanje.
These include the Fed committee, Competitions Disciplinary Panel, Investigations Chamber, Dispute Resolution Chamber, and Appeals Committee.
