The Federation of Uganda Football Associations Disciplinary Panel has sanctioned four clubs following a series of incidents reported during recent domestic fixtures, issuing fines, warnings, and a match forfeiture as it moves to reinforce discipline across Ugandan football competitions.
The rulings stem from cases arising in both the FUFA Big League and the Uganda Premier League, highlighting ongoing concerns around matchday management, supporter conduct, and adherence to competition regulations.
Paidha Black Angels Punished Over Stadium Access
The panel fined Paidha Black Angels FC UGX 500,000 after finding the club responsible for failing to guarantee smooth access to the stadium for visiting side Kataka FC during their fixture on February 26, 2026.
According to the ruling, Kataka encountered challenges accessing the stadium in Paidha, an issue the panel determined constituted a breach of Rule 48(8)(b) of the FUFA Competitions Rules, which obligates host clubs to ensure safe and timely access for visiting teams.
Paidha Black Angels have been ordered to settle the fine within 14 days and were cautioned to ensure strict compliance with matchday operational requirements going forward.
Onduparaka Hit With Fine After Fan Misconduct
In another case, Onduparaka FC was fined UGX 500,000 following incidents of hooliganism during their FUFA Big League match against Ntugasaze FC on March 1, 2026.
The Disciplinary Panel reviewed the referee’s report from Match No.130 of the 2025/2026 season, which detailed disorderly conduct involving sections of the Onduparaka supporters.
While the club avoided further sanctions, FUFA issued a strong warning that any repeat incidents involving fan violence, hooliganism, or misconduct could attract heavier penalties.
Calvary Forfeit Abandoned Match Against SC Villa
The most severe disciplinary action was reserved for Calvary FC, whose match against SC Villa on March 2, 2026 was abandoned following acts of hooliganism and misconduct involving supporters and club officials.
After reviewing the circumstances, the Disciplinary Panel ruled that Calvary FC must forfeit the fixture, awarding the result and three points to SC Villa in line with the FUFA competitions rules.
In addition, Calvary FC faces a suspended sanction of a three-point and three-goal deduction, which will be activated should similar incidents occur in future matches.
The case has taken a further twist after allegations raised by Calvary FC regarding match fixing and referee misconduct, as well as issues involving the club president, were referred to the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee for further investigation.
Kitara Fined Over Technical Area Breach
Elsewhere, Kitara FC was sanctioned following a complaint lodged by Entebbe UPPC FC concerning their encounter on March 3, 2026 at Butema Stadium.
The panel found Kitara FC guilty of breaching Rule 26(10) of the FUFA Competitions Rules and Article 15(17) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code after allowing an individual without a valid FUFA Bench Permit to access the technical area during the match.
Kitara FC has been fined UGX 500,000, payable within 14 days.
FUFA Tightens Enforcement
The latest disciplinary decisions underline FUFA’s efforts to enforce greater professionalism and accountability in Ugandan football, particularly around supporter behaviour, matchday organization, and adherence to competition rules.
With the 2025/2026 domestic season entering a critical stage, clubs have been reminded that any further breaches could result in more severe sanctions, including point deductions and additional financial penalties.
