Youngster Patrick Jonah Kakande netted late on to help SC Villa squeeze past Busoga United in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at Wakulukuku on Friday.
With just four minutes left on the clock, Kakande who had replaced Goffin Oyirwoth midway the closing half found the back the back of net to secure vital three points for the Jogoos.
The Youngster received the ball from Ivan Bogere to beat off his marker and fire into the bottom corner past a helpless Michael Lutaaya.
Unlikely Busoga United looked more threatening to break the deadlock before Villa as they created a few various attempts at goal.
Most of their chances fell to Peter Onzima but he failed to find the target from those attempts
The three points take Villa to second place on the log with 10 points in five games.
For Busoga United, they remain 12th with four points in 5 games.
Villa play Bright Stars next while Busoga United battle Gaddafi in a Jinja derby.
