UPL: URA settle for a goalless draw against Busoga United

In the second match after the departure of David Obua, URA FC played out a goalless draw against Busoga United at Kabaka Kyabaggu on Tuesday evening.

In the first half, the hosts dominated the game through several crosses from Moses Aliro, Joseph Ssemujju and the shots from Ivan Ahimbisibwe couldn’t hit the back of the net.

The visitors’ first half had few possible goal attempts which came from Lugono as their goalkeeper, Munaku Wekiya Salim kept on saving the shots.

The home side dominated the second half making several shots from Saidi Kyeyune, Joshua Lubwama went off target while the few that went on target were saved by the goalkeeper, Munaku Wekiya Salim.

The introduction of Vianney Ssekajugo spiced up the forward line of URA but centre back Stephen Odongo blocked his goal scoring opportunities.

At 35 points in 25 matches, URA settle in the eighth position and remain unbeaten in their new home, collecting a win and a draw in the two matches.

The draw moved Busoga United to the 22 points, 3 above relegation positioned Gaddafi  FC who have a game in hand.

The tax collectors will travel to western Uganda to play Mbarara city on 7th May at the Kakyeka stadium.

Busoga will also be on the road again as they continue their fight against relegation as they visit the six time Uganda premier league champions, Express fc on 5th May in Wankulukuku.
