Express FC were denied a late victory by Maroons FC at the death in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played on Friday.
The Red Eagles thought that they had won the game in the 90th minute after Ivan Mayanja’s header, but with arguably the last kick of the game, Fred Amaku equalized for the prison side to ensure that the game ended 1-all.
Before those two late goals, both teams struggled to find the back of the net. Sula Mpanga and Amaku wasted Maroon’s chances while Hassan Mubiru missed for the Red Eagles.
This results means Express extend their winless streak to six games and now sit ninth on the log with 16 points.
For Maroons, they remain 10th on the log with 15 points.
Express play Blacks Power next while Maroons battle BUL.
