Stanbic Uganda Cup: Wakiso Giants and Kitara progress to round of 16


Kitara FC and Wakiso Giants have qualified to the round of 16 in the 49th edition of the Stanbic Uganda cup after defeating Uganda Pentecostal University fc and Blacks power respectively

Kitara FC of the Big league won 2-1 against Uganda Pentecostal University, a Kitara Regional league team in a game played at Kigaaya primary school play ground in Hoima.

Kitara fc’s two goals came from Dudu Ramathan while Abdul burst Bwambale scored the only goal for Uganda Pentecostal University FC

Kitara FC qualified to the round of 32 after facing Gorrilla highland at Mashaka play ground in kisoro while Uganda Pentecostal University defeated URA FC in penalties after a 2-2 draw.

On the other side Wakiso Giants got a 6-5 penalty away win against Blacks powerfc due to a goalless draw at the Aki Bua stadium in Lira

Wakiso Giants played Fort Portal Boda Boda FC in the round of 64 at Buhinga stadium where they won 1-3 while Blacks power played Bukedea Central at Emokori ground in Bukedea where they won 0-1.
