Kitara FC has defeated Wakiso Giants 1-3, keeping their perfect start to the 2023/24 Startimes Uganda premier league on Wednesday evening.

Titus Sematimba opened the scoring for Wakiso Giants at Kabaka kyabagu stadium in the 28th minute only to end the halftime 1-0 in favour of the Purple Sharks.

Four minutes after restart, Denis Omedi leveled matters for Kitara through a header from Jasper Aheebwa’s free kick.

With 10 minutes left on the clock, Jasper Aheebwa turned from provider to goal scorer securing the second goal for the “Royals”.

Later on, Jude Semugabi put the icing on the cake netting the third to make it 1-3 in the second minute of added time utilizing a mistake made by the Wakiso Giants’ goalkeeper Bashir Sekagya.

This result takes Kitara FC to 15 points from 5 games topping the Uganda Premier league just with goal difference sperating them from Bul FC.

In their next League games, Wakiso Giants will face Vipers on the 31st October at st Mary’s stadium kitende while Kitara will host Maroons in Masindi on the 1st November.
