Kitara beat KCCA FC 3-1 at home and maintained their perfect start in the Startimes Uganda Premier League.

This was Kitara’s biggest and fourth win of the ongoing campaign unlike KCCA who were losing their fourth game and second away fixture after Bul FC.

Kabon Living was the first player to get onto the scoresheet in the opening half at Masindi Municipal stadium just before Paul Mucureezi and Denis Omedi struck in second.

Into the game, the Visitors of KCCA started the game with great opportunities falling to both defender, Peter Magambo and forward Muhamad Shaban but all didn’t go in as planned.

With three minutes to close the first half, a Magambo clearance fell to Living’s sweet left foot, only to put it in right bottom corner of Juma Mutebi’s goal, ending the opening half 1-0.

In the second half, former KCCA forward Mucureezi scored a free kick just four minutes after restart after substitute Faisal Wabyona fouled 19 yards from goal.

With both teams trying to score while creating more and more chances substitute Omedi completed put the icing on the cake in stoppage time just like Jaoa Gabriel who pulled one back for KCCA.

This result means Kitara remains top of the league with maximum points out of their opening four fixtures while KCCA stay bottom.

In their upcoming game, the Kasasiro boys will host NEC at home in Lugogo while Kitara will visit Wakiso Giants at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.
