Bidco Uganda Limited Football Club (BUL) FC became the first team to qualify for the Round of 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after their 3-1 win over Blacks Power at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe on Thursday.

Joseph Ssemujju, Simon Peter Oketch and Robert Mukogotya were on target to ensure the Jinja based side progressed to the next stage after a 5-1 aggregate win over the Bukedea side. BUL had won the first leg 2-0 at the Emokori Stadium, Bukedea.

Ssemujju broke the deadlock in the 18th minute after being picked out by skipper Gwoto Fredson to bullet into the back of the net for BUL’s first.

Moments later, it was two for BUL after Peter Ozima squared the ball to Oketch for the latter to tap in from close range to double advantage for his side.

The game went into the break with the scores 2-0 with the home side holding the advantage.

Eight minutes into the second half,  Deogratious Ojok wasted a brilliant chance to put his side three goals up when he missed from close range after being found by the pacy Ssemujju from the left-wing.

Michael Siwu pulled a goal back for Blacks Power from the spot in the 82nd minute but BUL got their third not long after, through substitute Robert Mukogotya, who came on for Douglas Bithum.
