Blacks Power came from behind to beat URA FC 3-2 in Bukedea on Saturday, but their fourth Uganda Premier League win of the season was overshadowed by a serious injury to forward Ivan Okello.

The newcomers secured all three points at Bukedea Comprehensive School Stadium after goals from Innocent Maduka, Emmanuel Janan Okech and Oscar Otim cancelled out Dissan Galiwango’s brace for URA.

URA made the brighter start, taking the lead in the second minute when Galiwango finished off Eric Okutu’s assist.

Blacks Power responded in the 22nd minute as Maduka restored parity before Okech completed the comeback just before half-time.

Otim then gave the hosts some breathing room ten minutes after the restart, making it 3-1.

Galiwango pulled one back on the hour mark with his second of the afternoon, setting up a tense finish.

URA’s hopes of finding an equaliser were dealt another blow in the 73rd minute when midfielder Norman Namanya was sent off after tackling Ivan Okello from behind who consquently suffered a serious leg injury and was rushed off in an ambulance.

Blacks Power managed the final stages to secure the win and move to fifth place with 12 points from seven matches.

For URA, the defeat leaves them 15th with four points after four losses in their opening six games.
