StarTimes Uganda Premier league side Police FC are closing on the signing of Former URA FC and SC Villa striker Henry Kisekka, The Touchline Sports sources can understand.
The Striker was seen at the Police headquarters in Kibuli where discussions over the potential move to join the Cops were held.
The 31-year old is currently a free agent having run down his contract at Indian I-league side Gokulam Kerala in May 2020.
If the deal does materialize, Kisekka will add experience and goals to the Cops frontline, having featured for more than 10 clubs in his career spanning over a decade.
Kisekka started off his senior football club career at Uganda Revenue Authority in 2008 before he went on to enjoy quality playing time in Vietnam with Báo Quảng Nam, Dong Nai, Quang Nam, Long An, Hoa Phat Ha Noi and lately XSKT Can Tho F.C.
At the start of the 2017-18, the soft spoken forward joined Gokulam Kerala and due to his impressive performance in Kerala, he was acquired by Mohun Bagan at the end of the season.
In 2018, Kisekka returned home and signed a short term contract with URA before he rejoined Gokulam Kerala in July 2019.
Kisekka, known for his love for goals, has played four games and scored two goals for Uganda Cranes. He was summoned for the National Team for the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers.
Furthermore, the Abdullah Mubiru coached side have also made contact with another free agent, Deus Bukenya in a bid to strengthen their midfield ahead of the league resumption in February.
