Pepsi University Football League relaunched

Despite being slated to kick off earlier, the 11th Pepsi University Football League is set to resume in alignment with the university academic calendar.

With the academic calendar prepared to run from September to May, the league will start  kickoff on Tuesday 12th September 2023.

On day one, the League in tournament structure will witness holders Nkozi University host Bugema University.

With new entrants ISBAT University that league vibe is set to be raised above the normal level is well known very hence increasing on the number of fans.

At a press conference held at Kati Kati Restaurant on Monday morning, UFL LOC Chairman Vicent Kisenyi came forward to show his excitement about the league resumption saying;

“I am excited to announce the resumption of the league and to announce that starting this season we shall be running from September to May”

Further adding that “It has usually been running from February to November but now this will now enable the league to run in alignment with the university calendar which also runs from September to
May,”

Adding to the Chairman’s statement, AUUS President, Kabenge Peninah welcomed ISBAT University to the league stating that;

“This league began as a Super 6 ten years ago but has since grown in leaps and bounds and it gives me great pleasure to see that now we have 23 teams competing this season,” she
said.
