Already departed KCCA chairman Martin Ssekajja has thanked fans for their support and guidance during his five-year tenure at Uganda’s capital city club.
This comes after KCCA FC patron and Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago made a reshuffle in the club’s management team and replaced Ssekajja with Eng. Andrew Sserunjogi Mukiibi as the new chairman.
“Thank you dear Colleagues for the warm messages, ” Ssekajja said before adding;
“The core deliverable in football Administration is the trophy. That aside the club registered a number of achievements including registering profits for the two years, investment in the infrastructure, media communications, exponential growth in followers and other areas. The focus was on building a sustainable club that will lead locally and compete at continental stage.”
“I thank you all for the support and guidance during the course. Lets continue supporting our Club to greater heights.”
Ssekajja had been at the club since 2018, when he took over from Julius Raymond Kabugo.
Under his tenure, KCCA won the Uganda Premier League title and the CECAFA Kagame Cup in 2019.
Nothing much is known on his predecessor Sserunjogi in the football circles but he is an employee of KCCA and serves at the Directorate of engineering and technical services in charge of roads.
