Kitara Draw Mogadishu SC in CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary Round

Uganda’s Kitara FC have been paired with Somalia’s Mogadishu Sports Club in the preliminary round of the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup following the draw conducted in Cairo, Egypt, on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

The two-legged encounter will begin with the first leg, scheduled between October 16 and 18, before the return fixture takes place in Hoima between October 23 and 25.

The winner of the tie will progress to the first round, where Egyptian side Al Ahly SC await.

Elsewhere in the draw, Egypt’s ZED FC will face ASAS Djibouti, with the winner earning a first-round meeting against Tanzania’s Azam FC.

Other preliminary-round fixtures include Al Hilal Al Sahil versus Welwalo Adigrat, Al Ahli Madani against Kenya’s Tusker FC, The Panthers against ASPAC, and AS PSI taking on CO Korhogo.

AS Douanes have been drawn against Hafia, while El Kanemi Warriors will meet UDIB. AF Amadou Diallo face East End Lions, ES Zarzis take on Diambars, and FC Diarra will battle Nations FC.

In other ties, Red Arrows will play FC Rouge, Durban City have been paired with Rukinzo, Panthère Sportive will face Rayon Sports, while DC Virunga will take on P. Bazar Brothers.
