Ugandan Midfielder Ibrahim Kasule has finally signed a deal with MLS Next Pro side New York Red Bulls II.
This was announced by the Next Pro club on Thursday morning after Midfielder was signed up to a contract till the end of the season.
We are looking forward to adding a player like Ibrahim to the group,” Sporting Director Denis Hamlett told the New York Red Bulls II website before “He has the qualities that we look for when deciding how to improve the current squad.”
Kasule joins Red Bulls II after a failed move to Turkish side Ankara Keçiörengücü. Before he joined Ankara, Kasule was Uganda Premier League’s best player with Wakiso Giants, scoring six goals and tallying 5 assists in the current campaign.
At Red Bulls II, he joins up with former Wakiso Giants teammate Frank Ssebuufu, Steven Sserwadda and former Uganda Cranes defender Ibrahim Sekagya, who is currently Red Bulls II head coach.
“Ibrahim and the skills that he can provide are going to fit right in with the squad this season,” Head Coach Ibrahim Sekagya said. “His success in Uganda at such a young age was a main factor as to why we decided to bring him in for this season.”
