Youngster Innocent Media scored the all important goals for Arua Hill as they defeated Blacks Power 2-0 in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played on Thursday evening at Barifa.
Before Media scored his first goal of the match, both sides had a couple of chances to break the deadlock but failed to beat the opposing goalkeepers.
Michael Siwu had his freekick parried away by Richard Anyama while Arua Hill’s defender Rashid Toha also had his effort saved by Emmanuel Odongo, the Blacks Power goalie.
At almost the half-hour mark, Media gave Arua Hill the lead as he tapped in Rashid Toha’s header following Gaddafi Wahab delivery from a corner kick.
Media doubled the Kongolo’s lead in the 58th minute with a nice finish after being set through excellently by Innocent Maduka.
In the last quarter of the game, Blacks Power tried to pull atleast a goal back but Anyama did brilliant to stop all their efforts.
The victory takes Arua Hill to fifth place in the log with 26 points in 17 games.
While a loss for Blacks Power means that they remain 14th with 15 points in 19 games.
Arua Hill will play UPDF next while Blacks Power will battle KCCA FC.
