I expected to score against Wakiso Hill – Agnes Nabukenya reveals

Since the restart FUFA Women Super League, on Wednesday 3rd January 2024, Kawempe Muslim has attained two wins in two games.

These two games have had a total of seven goals, 2-0 against defending champions Kampala Queens and 5-0 over Wakiso Hill respectively.

Behind the seven, four of which were netted by on-form Agnes Nabukenya, a player who has been one of those singled out as the future of the school club and Crested Cranes at large.

After scoring her second brace on Saturday at the Kawempe Grounds against Wakiso Hill, Nabukenya came out reveal that she expected a goal in the game;

“I expected a goal in the game,” she said.

“Adding that I never expected to score two but I thank God for giving me that.”

“I am just learning football and a footballer must be versatile” Nabukenya continued

Nabukenya then concluded that she is targeting to follow in her teammate’s Shakira Nyinagahirwa steps to become a league top scorer, MVP and also help her team win the FUFA Women Super League.

At the moment, Agnes Nabukenya leads the scoring chat with five goals while her side Kawempe Muslim are top of the League, level on points with Kampala Queens, 13 points because of better goal difference and a game in hand.
