URA Ladies have moved quickly to strengthen their squad ahead of their debut season in the FUFA Women Super League, signing midfielder Shamusa Najjuma and defender Patience Nabulobi.
Najjuma joins the Tax Collectors on a two year deal from Kampala Queens, now KCCA Women. The move was confirmed on Monday, with URA announcing her arrival later in the day.

The midfielder spent two seasons at Kampala Queens, helping them win the 2024/25 FUFA Women Super League title and the FUFA Women’s Cup last season.
She becomes the second player to leave Kampala Queens this window after Catherine Nagadya joined Egyptian side Al Ahly.
Nabulobi followed Najjuma to URA, signing a two year contract a day later.
The experienced defender has played for Uganda Martyrs Lubaga, Makerere University and Kampala Queens, giving URA another player with top-flight experience.
The signings show URA’s plan to build a competitive squad for their first season in the top division.
The club is also looking to strengthen its technical team, with Kawempe Muslim assistant coach Moses Nkata reportedly in talks to become head coach.
Nkata was part of the technical team that helped URA Ladies earn promotion. He has also been involved with the team since Kawempe Muslim Junior Team served as URA FC’s women’s side before the club was fully acquired.
