FWSL: new start date and fixtures released

The FUFA Competitions Committee has released the new start dates and fixtures for the 2021 FUFA Women’s Super league.

The league was scheduled to kickoff on 11th April, 2021, but now it’s start up date has been pushed a week further to 19th April to enable smooth preparations.

This year’s FSWL will consist of ten teams, grouped in two groups, Group one and Group two.

Group one consists of Kawempe Muslim WFC, Kampala Queens WFC, Uganda Martyrs H/S, Tooro Queens and Makerere University WFC while group two has Lady Doves, UCU Lady Cardinals, She Corporates, ISRA soccer academy and Olila H/S WFC.

All games will be played at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru due to the Coronavirus panademic.

Teams in Group one will take the field first as they are due to report in Njeru on 18th April ahead of their games that will be played between 19th and 24th April, 2021.

While teams in group B will report at the FUFA Technical Center on 25th April and will play their games between 26th April and 1st May, 2021.

The top two teams from the group stages will progress to the semifinals scheduled for 3rd May before the league will climax on 5th May with the final and third-place playoff games.

Makerere University will take on Uganda Martyrs H/S in the opening group one fixture, while on the same day, Kawempe Muslim will take on Kampala Queens.
