David Owori: former SC Villa midfielder joins Spanish fourth tier side


Former SC Villa midfielder David Owori has completed his move to Spanish fourth tier side Velez FC.

The 22-year old joins the Malaga based side from SC Villa on a one-year deal until the end of the 2021/22 season.

The dynamic midfielder  played almost all games for the Jogoos last season and scored 3 goals (against Wakiso giants, BUL FC, and Mbarara City) and assisted 4 times – no wonder many believe he was the fulcrum for Villa’s resurgence last season (from a relegation-threatened team to almost a title contender).

Velez sit top of group 9 group B of  Tercera División with 34 points garnered in 17 games.

It hosts it’s matches at Estadio Vivar Téllez, 2,100 seats in Malaga, Spain. Francis Parrado Is their head coach having been appointed in 2019.
