2022 FIFA U20 Women’s WC Qualifiers: Uganda drawn against Kenya

The  Uganda U-20 women team will be vying for one of the coveted slots in the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women World Cup slated for next year in Costa Rica.

The Uganda U20 women’s National team have been drawn against neighbours Kenya in the Second Round of the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers

This was confirmed on Monday in a draw ceremony held in Cairo, Egypt.

Uganda will begin their qualification campaign away with the first leg between 23rd-25th September 2021 before hosting the second leg in Kampala between 7th and 9th October.

Botj Uganda and Kenya were given a bye from the first round of the 2022 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers due to their CAF coefficients.

It will be the third time Uganda are participating in the Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers after having featured in the 2013 and 2020 editions.

The Olivier Mbekeka’s side were ejected by Tanzania last year after losing 4-2 on aggregate in the first preliminary round.
