Venue for the 50th edition of Stanbic Uganda Cup confirmed

The 50th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup final between NEC FC and Kitara FC will be played at Muteesa II Stadium, Wakulukuku on Saturday, 25th May 2024.

This was confirmed by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations ( FUFA) in a letter addressed to the two clubs on Wednesday morning

Both NEC and Kitara will be featuring in their first ever final in the competition

NEC FC secured their slot to the final after eliminating 2022 winners BUL FC 3-1 after a two legged semifinal while Kitara FC eased past Pajule Lions 4-1 on aggregate.

The final between the two sides means that there will be a new name winner this year.

Express FC and KCCA FC are the record competition winners with each on ten trophies followed by SC Villa with nine.

Vipers SC are the defending winners following their 1-0 triumph over Police FC in the final that was held in Lira last year with Milton Karisa scoring the all important goal for the Venoms.
