Kitara FC have added experience to their midfield with the signing of Nicholas Kasozi on a two-year contract as the Royals continue to shape their squad for the CAF Confederation Cup.

The club confirmed the move on Monday, making Kasozi their fifth signing of the transfer window.

“We kickstart the week with a new face in the Kingdom. Experienced midfielder Nicholas Kasozi has officially joined Kitara FC on a two-year employment contract,” the club announced.

Kasozi brings years of top-flight experience. Since starting out at Synergy FC, he has played for SC Villa, KCCA FC, Express FC, Kyetume FC and Gaddafi, now Entebbe UPPC. He also spent the last two seasons with Kagera Sugar in Tanzania’s Premier League.

His arrival continues Kitara’s busy recruitment drive ahead of their first-ever CAF Confederation Cup campaign. He joins Martin Kizza, Minsi Diego Ssemugera, Jackson Ssembatya and Ghanaian defender Bonny Christopher among the club’s new faces.

The Royals are expected to strengthen further before the new season as they prepare to represent Uganda in the CAF Confederation Cup. The preliminary round of the competition is scheduled for September, with Kitara hoping their new signings will help them make a strong start on the continental stage.
