Transfers: Nantege joins Lady Doves

Irene Nantege joins one-time FUFA Women Super League champion Lady Doves from Isra Soccer Academy Women Football Club.

Nantege is the first summer signing of Lady Doves who have let go of a couple of players starting with goalkeeper Daisy Nakaziro moving to Uganda Martyrs High School, in the middle of the previous season, Spencer Nakacwa heading out to She Corporate being the lastest

Nantege has played for London College and Mukono high School before joining Isra Soccer Academy Women Football Club where just left to join Lady Doves. 

One of the explosive forward’s most momerable moments last season was when she scored a brace in the FUFA Women Elite League game against Luweero Giant Queens for Isra Soccer Academy Women Football Club from a goal down managing to secure important 3-2 win at  Highland Secondary School playground in Kisaasi.

Lady Doves finished the previous campaign in 7th, a place above the relegation zone with four(4)wins, six(6) draws, eight (8) losses and 18 points in 18 games meaning they averaged a point per game.

With more fire power added to players like Fazila Ikwaput who finished last season with 15 goals surely it will improve Lady Doves’ 2022/23 season.
