Uganda awarded with second chance to host 2023 Netball Africa Cup


Uganda will host the 2023 Netball Africa cup as confirmed in the Netball African General sitting in South Africa on Saturday.

This tournament will be held in Uganda for the second time in six(6) years, that last one being played at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium and She Cranes emerging as winners. The latest edition took place in Namibia where the She Cranes clintched the title.

With dates yet to be confirmed, the Africa Cup will be played after the 2023 Netball World cup that is set to be played in South Africa between July and August 2023.

But before all the two tournaments She Cranes will play at the International vitality series in England and are now putting focus on this tourney.

Uganda was well represented at the 2022 Commonwealth games in Birmingham expressing  full confidence finishing fifth at the tournament after downing South Africa and hence being ranked number one at the Africa continent.
