Transfers: Express FC unveil center back Gakumba

Express FC have announced the signing of center back Benjamin Gakumba.

The 19-year old defender joins the Red Eagles on a three-year contract until the end of 2024/25 season.

He joins Express FC after putting up brilliant performance playing for Mbarara University in the University Football League where he featured in all games.

“It’s a great honor to be joining this mighty club, and I am grateful to God for the opportunity and I thank the coach and team for giving me the opportunity.” Gakumba after putting pen to paper.

” I am ready to represent the club colors, fans should expect good performance and solid game.” He added.

He becomes the fourth official new addition for Express FC this ongoing transfer window after David Lukwago, Hassan Mubiru and Kada Bitakazibwa.

The Wakulukuku based side has released a couple of senior players this off season that includes Murushid Juuko, John Byamukama,Mahad Yaya Kakooza and Geoffrey Lwesibawa.

While Daniel Shabena, Joshua Musoke and Isa Lumu have extended their stay at the club.
