According to the planning and organizing committee of the Uganda Netball Federation, the 2022/23 Netball season in Uganda is set to kick-off early this September
With the National Women Senior team(She Cranes) still participating in the ongoing Commonwealth games in Birmingham, England.
Some of players don’t look like they will have a rest since they also have to play at the International Vitality Cup in October.
The League will kick off on Friday 2nd September 2022 with a total number of eight teams confirmed to be involved out of the original 14.
The eight teams confirmed to play on the women’s side are; Busia Greater Lions Netball Club, Police Netball Club, Luwero Netball Club, Uganda Christian University Netball Club, Posta Netball Club, Africa Renewal University Netball Club, Weyonje Netball Club and Prisons Netball Club.
According to the statement put out by Uganda Netball Federation, a draft fixture will be drawn on Thursday 16th August 2022 depending on the teams named above.
Most notably the winner of last season’s Uganda Netball Championship NIC Netball Club is among the six remaining teams which are not on the list of the teams confirmed to participate in next season’s championship for reasons that are yet to be known.
