StarTimes Lands 5-Season Deal for LALIGA Broadcast Rights in Sub-Saharan Africa

StarTimes has announced that it has secured the non-exclusive broadcast rights for the prestigious Spanish football league, LALIGA EA Sports and LALIGA Hypermotion, for the next five seasons.

As the premier football league in Spain and one of the top professional leagues in Europe and the world, LALIGA EA Sports features 20 participating teams and a thrilling 38-round season with 10 matches per round, following a home and away format.

With this acquisition, StarTimes now holds the rights to broadcast LALIGA EA Sports and LALIGA Hypermotion for the 2024/25, 2025/26, 2026/27, 2027/28, and 2028/29 seasons.

The broadcast will be available in multiple languages, including English, Portuguese, and local languages, reaching audiences across all countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
