In a stunning turn of events, Kawempe FC has shattered their losing streak in the 2023/24 betPawa Futsal Super League.

On Thursday evening, they clinched a decisive 5-2 victory over Edgars Youth Programme at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena, marking their first win of the season.

Kawempe FC had faced a grueling season, with 19 consecutive losses weighing heavily on their shoulders. Despite their valiant efforts, they seemed destined for defeat. However, Thursday’s match marked a dramatic shift in their fortunes.

Ashraf Walugembe’s seventh-minute goal ignited the spark, and Sulaiman Kasozi’s subsequent three goals cemented Kawempe FC’s dominance.

Edgars Youth Programme’s attempts to rally were thwarted by Kawempe’s unwavering defense and Imran Mubiru – the custodian.

This victory represents a pivotal moment in Kawempe FC’s history, as they finally break free from their losing streak and the team can now build momentum for their remaining matches against Lubaga Grameen and Aidenal FC.
