UPDF have collected their second win of the season after they hammered Gaddafi Football Club at the Bombo military grounds, Bombo
The Army side won the Uganda Premier League encounter 3-1 against the soilder boys from Jinja thanks to a Rogers Adriko hattrick.
Action unpacked its self in the first minute of the game when referee Henry Musisi awarded a controversial penalty after Rogers Mugisha dribbled inside from the left only to bump into Godfrey Lwesibawa.
Rogers Adriko stood up to the task as he sent Gaddafi goal keeper Chrispus Kusiima to the right and placing the ball left to put the Bombo side into the lead.
With ten minutes left on the openning half, UPDF were given another penalty after a handball in the area
This time round, Kusiima dived the right side of the Rogers penalty but still couldn’t save it ending the first half 2-0.
In the second half just like the first, Gaddafi had the lions share of goals scoring opportunities but couldn’t find the back of the net not Brian Kalumba pulled one back with eight minutes to go.
Five minutes later, Adriko sealed it for the Bombo side to end it 3-1.
After the game, Rogers Adriko became the second UPDF FC player to score a hat trick this season after Ivan Ahimbisibwe and fourth so far.
Alex Kitata and Yunus Sentamu being the other players with hat tricks in the league this season.
This result means UPDF get their first win in the last ten games as Gaddafi lose their 5th game of the campaign.
UPDF move up to 12th in place of Blacks Power with 10 points from 13 games. They visit Onduparaka in their next game on 21st December.
For Gaddafi, they will welcome URA on 20th December to Jinja at Kakindu stadium.
