The first leg of the 2021 Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 was concluded on Wednesday evening with three home wins in 3 games. KCCA FC, Paidha Black Angels and Arua Hill SC managed to earn important wins in their own backyards.

Here is a recap of all the games played on Wednesday evening.

In Lugogo, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC edged past FUFA Big League’s Nyamityobora FC 4-2 at the MTN Omondi Stadium.

Bright Anukani, Julius Poloto, Sadat Anaku and Sam Ssenyonjo were all on target for the Morley Byekwaso’s side, while Clinton Kamugisha netted a goal in each half for the Abanyakare.

In Zombo, Isaac Deco’s strike at the start of the second half was enough for Allan Kabonge’s Paidha Black Angels to defeat Soltilo Bright Stars 1-0 at the Bar Okoro grounds. Kabonge has now secured his first win since he returned to Paidha at the end of last month.

In Arua, Arua Hills held on to defeat UPDF FC 3-2 at the Barifa Grounds. Kawawa Rashid and Mike Kawooya had put the Kongoros ahead in the first 30 minutes, but Alex Kitata pulled a goal back for the Army side before halftime. Youngster Vinni Bright levelled matters just before the hour’s mark but former Vipers and Express striker Alfred Leku netted the winner for the home side in the 64th minute.

Action will resume on Thursday evening with the second leg action as BUL takes on Black Power FC at the Kabaka Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe. BUL defeated Black Power 2-0 in the first leg at the Emokori Stadium, Bukedea.
