KCCA FC delivered a ruthless, five-star performance on Tuesday evening, thrashing Onduparaka FC 5–0 under the floodlights at MTN Omondi Stadium to storm into the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinals.

The Lugogo based side dominated play from the start, with Sammy Ssebaduka opening the scoring in the 22nd minute before Saidi Mayanja doubled the lead eight minutes later. KCCA carried their attacking momentum into the second half, keeping Onduparaka pinned back for long spells.

Substitute Emmanuel Anyama stole the spotlight with a sensational impact off the bench. He netted KCCA’s fourth goal in the 70th minute with a calm finish after a well-worked move, before returning in stoppage time to complete his brace and seal the emphatic victory. Alex Yiga also got on the scoresheet in the 76th minute to cap off a dominant display.

Anyama’s brace takes his tally to three goals in this season’s competition, making him KCCA’s leading scorer in the Uganda Cup so far an impressive feat for a player coming off the bench.

Onduparaka FC struggled to cope with KCCA’s intensity throughout the match and ultimately bowed out at the round of 16 stage.

KCCA FC now join NEC FC and Happy Boys FC Kagaba among the teams that have already booked their places in the quarterfinals, with three more matchdays left to complete the round.

With form, confidence, and firepower on their side, KCCA FC’s five-star showing sends a clear message as they continue their pursuit of Uganda Cup glory.
