Sudan Premier League side El Merrikh has reportedly terminated Saidi Kyeyune’s contract, according to African Soccer Zone.

The 27-year old midfielder joined El Merrikh from StarTimes UPL side Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) at the end of January on a one-year deal.

But ever since he joined the Sudanese Giants, Kyeyune has struggled for game time, having featured in only two of the Red Devil’s game in that period.

Kyeyune was among the El Merrikh players that tested positive for COVID-19 in March and missed several games.

Before joining El Merrikh, Kyeyune put up an impressive performance at  the 2021 CHAN tournament in Morocco where he netted two of the three goals that Uganda managed at the tournament

He started his professional football career at Maroons FC before he moved to URA FC in 2011 and was at the club until he left at the end of January this year.
