Stanbic Uganda Cup: Police eliminate holders BUL FC by rallying from behind

FUFA Big League Police FC came from a goal down to eliminate BUL FC from the Stanbic Uganda Cup at quarter-final stage.

Ronald Sempala scored Police’s winner in the 64th minute after a Pascal Ngobi’s own goal had levelled matters for the Cops early on in the second half.

Ngobi’s own goal came in the 54th minute following Jackson Ssemugabi’s header.

BUL had gone ahead early on the opening half when Anthony Mayanja found the back of the net.

This result means Police are the first team to advance to this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup semifinals.

The quarterfinals of the Uganda Cup will resume on Friday afternoon when Vipers hosts Calvary at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

While KCCA FC will face Soltilo Bright Stars at Kavumba in the other quarterfinal tie.
