Savio Kabugo: Former Cranes defender joins FUFA Big League side

Former Uganda Cranes defender, Savio Kabugo has joined FUFA Big League side Lugazi FC ahead of the 2023/24 season as confirmed by the Club on its X platform.

Kabugo who has been a free agent since jetting into the country has previously played for Jwaneng Galaxy (Botswana), AS Vita (DRC), Sebeta FC (Ethiopia) in Uganda; Victoria University, SC Villa, KCCA FC, URA FC and Proline.

With Kabugo in the team, Lugazi who peeped at promotion after finishing sixth in the league last season will hope to do better in the upcoming season despite losing a couple of players.

Lugazi have added Kabugo to the lot signed by the side just shortly after they signed former Gaddafi FC defender Latif Kiyemba .

Samuel Ssemugugu, Ronald Ssempala, Alvin Burungi, James Okiror, Abraham Opio, Solomon Okodi, Freedom Mungudit, Mubarak Mitala, Andrew Odong and Samuel Nsubuga are the other players to join the Club.

The Lugazi based side will begin their 2023/24 campaign at home on Matchday 2 against Ndejje University FC at the Lugazi FC Stadium.
