Synergy FC spokesperson Ronald Yiga says former skipper Henry Orom Bithum has left a huge gap in the Club’s backline.
Orom yesterday evening penned down a two-year contract with Uganda Premier League side Kyetume FC as Uganda’s transfer hit its climax.
Kyetume started pushing for the signature of the versatile defender a week back as they look to strengthen their team ahead of the 2020/21 StarTimes UPL season.
The move left Synergy officials with mixed feelings and this has been expressed by the teams head of communication Ronald Yiga in an emotional farewell to the departed.
“Orom has left a big gap in the whole squad, more so when we are preparing for a return to FUFA Big League. His services will be highly missed as we try to achieve our target.” Yiga said before praising the defender for his loyalty to the club and wishing him well with his new club.
“Orom has been loyal and serving with one heart. It will take us some good time to replace a player of his qualities, but we shall obviously plan our way forward. His departure has on the other hand created space for another star. We wish him a successful journey in his new club.”
Henry Bithum Orom joins a list of new recruits at the club after Emmanuel Derrick, Felix Okot, Steven Kabuye, Ezra Bidda, Rashid Muhammad, Richard Matovu, Mustafa Mujjuzi among others joined Mukono based club in the recent weeks.
