Review: New entrants shine on Matchday III

New FUFA Big league entrants New Villa and MYDA FC picked up vital wins in their Startimes FUFA Big league match 3 encounters.

New Villa picked up their second win of the season as they edged Kasai Plascon courtesy of a Mugema Second-half goal while MYDA FC outclassed Doves All-Stars thanks to Andrew Basoma first goal of the season.

All six of the other 8 games in Startimes FUFA Big league match day III ended in stalemates.

In Mbarara, Nyamityobora FC equalized late on to salvage a point at Home against Dove FC after Richard Kyamanywa put Doves ahead. Ivan Ahimbisibwe leveled later on for Nyamityobora at Kakyeka.

Promotional aspirants Ndejje University and UPDF FC played out to a 1-1 draw after Richard Asaba’s 3rd goal of the season for the University side canceled out Fred Umony’s first-half strike for the army side.

Kitara FC and Kigezi Homeboys also shared the spoils with another 1-1 stalemate, while Paidha Black Angels and Light SS ended in a barren draw.

In Mbale, Newly promoted Saviour FC denied Kataka FC  a win having produced a first-class performance in the 2-2 draw at the CRO Sansiro Grounds.

New Villa is now top of the Rwenzori group with 6 points in 3 games while Paidha lead the Elgon Group with 7 points from the possible 9

The league will resume this  Sunday 27th October with eight match day 4 fixtures.
