Geoffrey Wasswa signs with URA FC

Reports indicate that URA FC has completed the signing of former Vipers SC versatile defender Geoffrey Wasswa from Sports Club Villa.

Geoffrey Wasswa joined the Jogoos on a short-term contract from Vipers SC last season.

He is expected to add his versatility to a URA FC side that finished second in the just concluded Startimes Uganda Premier League.

Wasswa has previously played for St. Mary’s Boarding School before he was elevated to the Kitende senior side, Vipers SC.

Before leaving Vipers, it was reported that contract negotiations between the club and the player failed which forced him to start searching for playing space elsewhere.

Geoffrey Wasswa was expected to join the Tax Collectors last season but instead found his way to the sixteen-time Uganda Premier League champions Villa where he played most of the second part of the season.

Wasswa is expected to sign a one-year contract at URA and we will be providing you with more details as they come in.
